Team Spirit
What is spirit? It’s not just going to sporting events and cheering on your team but it's also
showing the other team respect..
showing the other team respect..
What is the point of fighting? All fighting does is cause more problems without resolving
anything. Can’t people learn how to talk thing out? Yeah, I know some people don't like others,
but they could still learn how to get along. During the games we need to show spirit by not getting
in fights. All fights do is cause you to lose your spirit. You don’t want Senior to be known as the
school that is constantly fighting. Senior should be known as the school that has the best spirit
and knows how to respect each other school’s teams.

At senior, the pep band has shown a lot of respect for the other teams. The band has actually
gotten a lot of letters from other teams, tell the band how grateful they are for showing them
respect.Take that as an example and be respectful to our school as well as others. The band
doesn't get into fights at the games, so why should our student section?

When the other team comes out onto the field you should encourage them rather than booing
them. You don't have to be as loud or wild as you are when your team comes out, but clapping
would be nice. Showing respect to the other team doesn't necessarily mean being so polite that
you look like you're talking to the president. An example of being respectful is not bragging
about your win to the other team. Instead you should tell them that they did a good job and that
you hope that they have better luck at their next game. Don’t be rude because you think that
your team is better than theirs. Our team may be better at some things but always remember
that every school may have a team that is extremely good at another sports.
I'm not trying to be rude by saying that we need to be respectful; I just think that we need tothem. You don't have to be as loud or wild as you are when your team comes out, but clapping

work on respecting others . Our school can be improved tremendously if we start showing
our respect. If we start showing respect, then we may have students that are actually excited
to go to school and not fear having to go. We can finally become a respectful school. We can
show our teachers that we are respectful and responsible young adults. We don't have to be
formal and say “yes ma’am” or “no sir” although we should say “thank you” when someone
does something nice for you. Let's start making a difference at our school. The best way to
start making a difference is by learning respect.
