Every school has spirit. Some have more than others, but to me Senior is lacking a certain spirit. Yes, we go to games and cheer on our team. Whether we dance, play in pep band or just sit in the student section. But there is so much more spirit that we should be working on to improve our school. We want to be proud to walk into our school with a ton of spirit.

Let's not think about the sporting events and think about the spirit of making Senior spotless. In the 2016-17 school year the student council started C.L.E.A.N. (Caring Language Empathy Attitude Now). This was a way to try and get the students to pick up after themselves.

At home we have our parents telling us to clean up our spaces, but at school our parents are not here. So, we need to pick up our trash. The janitors are nice enough to pick up after you, because they care about how our school is presented.

Within our school we have garbage and recycling bin around almost every corner. Outside we also have garbages, so why not use them? We shouldn't be so flippant in our attitudes of our school. Instead, we need to focus on cleaning up Senior.

Some students like to play basketball with our trash, but when you miss you really need to pick it up.We are all in a hurry to meet with our friends or to get to class on time, I get that, but when we see garbage in the halls, we should pick it up. When we leave trash on our school's floor then it just makes our school dirty. The pizza boxes are becoming unrealistic when it comes to not putting it in the trash when you are done with it.

Let’s start getting our pride back, be proud to be a Senior Bronc, and show it by cleaning the inside and outside of our school. When you pass a janitor, take time to thank them for working hard to keep our school clean. When we take the time to help our school be clean, we help out the janitors so they have more time to focus on more serious issues.

To also keep our school clean we need to wash our hands. Many student I have noticed that when they walk into a bathroom they won't wash their hands before leaving it. That spreads germs. Yes I'm starting to sound like your mother but after four years of seeing this happen it's really nasty.

So, go Broncs and show pride and spirit by canning the trash. Let's make our school shine bright not just with our intelligence but with our pride for our school.
