DELAWARE PRISON STAND OFF WITH CORRECTION OFFICER DEAD
This paper focus's on how safe our prisons are. The paper has interviews by the governor of Delaware John C. Carney Jr., Mr.Coupe,and Mr.Klopp. They said the “The inmates practiced to see what our response was going to be,” Mr. Klopp said." They are telling us that they don't know what the motivation is yet. The prisoners took 4 guards. The two guards that were released had broken bones, bruises and many more injuries to them. One of the men died trying to stop the inmates."“Even in his last moments, as the inmates attempted to take over the building, Sergeant Floyd told a couple of the lieutenants to get out of the building, and it was a trap,” he said." They said that they are going to make sure that this incident doesn't happen again. There was a woman who was in the prison when this ordeal came about. The police said that some of the inmates protected this woman by hiding the woman behind them. Until they were able to get her out safely.The woman left the prison uninjured.She was raped by an inmate and threatened to be killed. The inmate, who raped the counselor, was shot.
